2009 Assessment Symposium held at GSU

Following the success of last year's gathering of CAA chief assessment officers at James Madison University, the 2009 CAA Assessment Symposium took place October 15-16, 2009 at Georgia State University.

Assessment officers from six CAA institutions gathered to share information and discuss best practices.  They also had the opportunity to meet with the CAA provosts to discuss current issues in assessment.

Organized by Dr. Marti Singer, Director of Academic Assessment at GSU, symposium topics included:

  • Reviewing and Reporting Assessments
  • Effective Strategies that Link Program Accreditation with Meaningful Student Learning Assessment
  • Assessment of Graduate Level Student Learning Outcomes
  • Student Involvement in Assessment
  • Bringing Together Academic and Administration Assessment
  • Gathering and Measuring Evidence of Student Learning
  • Commonalities among the CAA and Strategies
