Call for Proposals for Global Education Conference

The Colonial Academic Alliance is pleased to announce the call for proposals for the 2010 Global Education Conference, to be held at Virginia Commonwealth University on Feb. 18-19, 2010.

The conference aims:

  • To improve learning outcomes in international education by increasing student engagement;
  • To encourage cooperation among international educators;
  • To promote awareness of the important contributions of international education both within and beyond our institutions.

Proposals are welcome for 15-30 minute presentations on successful efforts to enhance learning outcomes through increasing student engagement.  Proposals in all areas of international education, including education abroad, international student services, faculty development, international admissions, and ESL instruction are welcome.

Our international “communities of practice” – senior international officers, English language educators, Study Abroad staff, international admissions officers – as well as others on your campus who are involved in global education are invited to attend the conference.

Proposals are due by Dec. 1, 2009.  NEW - Deadline extended to Dec. 17. Full conference and registration information will be available Dec. 15, 2009.
