Assessment Initiatives

Programs and Initiatives:

To strengthen their individual assessment programs, CAA schools are building a "community of practice" in which assessment officers learn from each other and develop best practices. We do this through:

• Sharing information on our individual programs
• Assessment conferences. The CAA assessment officers meet annually to discuss current issues and share best practices. This year's meeting took place at Georgia State University on Oct. 15-16, 2009.   The 2008 conference was hosted by James Madison University.

   

Recent Events:

• April 17, 2010: Presentation on current issues in accreditation by Gerald Lord, SACS Commission on Higher Education; Elizabeth Sibolski, Middle States Commission on Higher Education; and Michael Middaugh, University of Delaware, to the CAA provosts
